In his wanderings, between Paris and Berlin Laurent POLEO-GARNIER eclectic artist, photographer, videographer, dancer and performer searches for himself and sometimes finds others.
His photos are the trace of meetings, relationships that he initiates with chosen and cherished models. Staging them, taking care of every detail from make-up to styling, he thus creates a sentimental family and his photos become precious archives, document of a moment, of a story with his model, moment of exchange and projection. simultaneously, offering new self-knowledge.
His numerous self-portraits reveal his taste for the theatrical form and pay homage to visions of periods fantasized and reinterpreted to anchor themselves in the present.
Dance and movement complete its expression of gentle violence. Performing almost naked, dancing everywhere or parading in drag queen the city is his territory.
Self-mockery, nostalgia, pastiche, winks are numerous to those who inspire him.
Through the metamorphosis of his models and his own Laurent POLEO-GARNIER questions identity and intimacy, the relationship in a multidisciplinary practice.

Après la publication d’un album de photos, SKINDEEP, préfacé par Federico Fellini, elle travaille sur un projet photographique et multimédia pendant de nombreuses années, HYPNOPOMPIA, une fiction anthropologique. Sponsorisée par Polaroid, elle utilise leur chambre Polaroid 50x60. HYPNOPOMPIA fait l’objet de plusieurs expositions et de nombreuses publications internationales. La narration étant toujours au cœur de son travail visuel, elle bifurque vers la réalisation. Multi-primée pour ses créations originales pour la chaîne Arte de 1992 à 2012 elle réalise ensuite courts-métrages, documentaires, fictions, puis vidéos immersives pour l’Opéra de Pékin et l'Opéra de Nancy. Elle est aussi auteure de 4 romans, Le Petit Homme Bleu et La Chapelle des Cannibales, chez Mazarine/Fayard, Le Monde de Cosmo, chez Albin-Michel, La Femme à Poils longs, aux Éditions le Cherche Midi.
Inspirée par la solitude du premier confinement, Hélène recommence un travail photographique. Endossant le rôle de modèle, elle réalise de nouvelles séries ME, MYSELF & I, un feuilleton photographique surréaliste, LE MONDE MASQUÉ puis ZEITGEIST, un appel poétique à prêter attention à la fragilité du Monde.
