In his wanderings, between Paris and Berlin Laurent POLEO-GARNIER eclectic artist, photographer, videographer, dancer and performer searches for himself and sometimes finds others.
His photos are the trace of meetings, relationships that he initiates with chosen and cherished models. Staging them, taking care of every detail from make-up to styling, he thus creates a sentimental family and his photos become precious archives, document of a moment, of a story with his model, moment of exchange and projection. simultaneously, offering new self-knowledge.
His numerous self-portraits reveal his taste for the theatrical form and pay homage to visions of periods fantasized and reinterpreted to anchor themselves in the present.
Dance and movement complete its expression of gentle violence. Performing almost naked, dancing everywhere or parading in drag queen the city is his territory.
Self-mockery, nostalgia, pastiche, winks are numerous to those who inspire him.
Through the metamorphosis of his models and his own Laurent POLEO-GARNIER questions identity and intimacy, the relationship in a multidisciplinary practice.

Né à Paris en 1995, Laurent Poleo Garnier démarre ses études par une école de communication visuelle avant de se diriger vers les arts plastiques qui privilégient une approche plus libre. Après une classe préparatoire, il intègre en 2015 les ateliers de Patrick Tosani, de Marie-José Burki et enfin d’Hélène Delprat aux Beaux-Arts de Paris. Il y explore différents modes d’expression tels que la vidéo, le dessin, la danse et la photographie qui devient son médium de prédilection. En 2019, Il part étudier à la UDK de Berlin et obtient son diplôme en 2020. La même année, le Festival d’Automne sélectionne pour sa campagne d’affichage dans Paris le portrait qu’il a réalisé du chorégraphe/danseur François Chaignaud.
En 2021 Une première exposition personnelle lui est consacrée à la Galerie du Crous à Paris et il remporte le deuxième prix PICTO de la photographie de mode et la dotation le19M de la Photographie des Métiers d’Art pour une collaboration avec la Maison Lesage.
Ses photographies intègrent les collections publiques du Palais Galliera, musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris.
